Adverse effects include GI ulceration, hepatopathy, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, decreased thyroid hormone, decreased protein synthesis, delayed wound healing, and immunosuppression.
Secondary infections can occur as a result of immunosuppression and include Demodex, toxoplasmosis, fungal infections, and UTIs.
In horses, additional adverse effects include risk of laminitis.
Dosage & Administration
By IV or IM injection
Horses, cattle : 5-15 ml per animal.
Calves, foals, sheep, goats, 1-2.5ml per animal.
Cats, dogs : 0.1-1 ml per 10 kg bodyweight.
Higher dosing and repeat treatment only on advice of your veterinarian.
Withdrawal Period
Cattle, sheep, goats : 21days
Milk: 72 hours
